Contributing to health and well-being in the city through Community Service Learning

Students in the Health In The City course of the bachelor’s programmes Health and Life Sciences address a societal problem from the working field. Students use their academic knowledge to contribute to society. Summative assessment is divided into three assignments. Students work collectively on a final academic report. Students also work in groups on a subsection, the presentation form of which is free. Students reflect several times during the course: on their role as health scientist in society, cooperating with external parties, the research process, the group process and their own functioning. In doing so, attention is paid to linking practical experience to theoretical knowledge.
